Tabea Hildebrand is working as a research associate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology (Fraunhofer IEE) in the Wind Resource Characterization group. Her working group is affiliated with the Energy Meteorology and Geo Information System department and belongs to the Energy Economics and Process Integration division. The institute is located in Kassel, Germany. Her research focuses on the uncertainty of scanning lidar measurements in a multi‑lidar setup for wind resource assessment. Also she does research regarding application of nacelle‑mounted lidars in complex terrain. She studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Dresden. As part of a project with the National Institute for Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) in Wellington, New Zealand, she worked on renewable energies in the context of wave energy converters. In 2020, she came to Fraunhofer IEE to write her final thesis on the uncertainty of multi-lidar wind measurements and graduated in March 2021.
